1. Who these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the website at teso.best, operated by Stichting Wadden Wildlife Trust (KvK 41-228-911), and any related services, downloads, donations and volunteer activities arranged through this site. By using the site or any of its services, you agree to these terms.
2. Acceptable use
You may use the website for personal, educational, or non-commercial professional purposes. You may not:
- Use the site, or our data, to harass any individual or group.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent donor or volunteer information.
- Attempt to circumvent the site's security, scrape it at high volume, or upload malicious code.
- Use any text, image, or dataset from the site to train commercial machine-learning systems without our prior written consent.
3. Intellectual property & research data
All editorial content, photographs and illustrations on this site are © Wadden Wildlife Trust and its contributors, all rights reserved. You may share and quote short passages with attribution and a link.
Our published research datasets — bird counts, seal census results, mudflat health indices — are released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence. You may reuse them, including commercially, provided you credit the trust as the source and link to the relevant report. Raw, unpublished data is not available outside of formal research-partnership agreements.
4. Donations
All donations are processed in euros (EUR) through our payment processor. The trust's ANBI status means that donations are tax-deductible for Dutch and EU donors, subject to local tax law. Receipts are issued automatically by email; an annual statement is provided each January.
If you donated in error, please write to donors@teso.best within 14 days and we will refund the gift in full.
5. Volunteer activities
Volunteer activities are governed by our Volunteer Charter, a copy of which is sent to every volunteer at sign-up. By volunteering with us, you agree to follow safety and conduct guidelines issued by the on-site coordinator, and to disclose any medical condition relevant to the field work you are about to undertake.
6. Disclaimer
Information on the site is provided in good faith and on a best-efforts basis. The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, the trust's total liability arising out of or related to your use of the site is limited to the amount, if any, that you paid to the trust in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the liability.
7. Links to other sites
The site contains links to other organisations, research institutions and partner foundations. We have no control over the content or practices of those sites and are not responsible for them.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is substantive, we will highlight it at the top of this page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the site after the new effective date constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by direct correspondence will be brought before the competent court of the District of North Holland (Rechtbank Noord-Holland).
10. Contact
Questions about these terms may be addressed to legal@teso.best or by post to the head office on our contact page.
